WHS Regional Meeting Nairobi 2026
Dr. Susan Wamithi is a Consultant Developmental Paediatrician and Assistant Professor at Aga Khan University Medical College, East Africa, and the International Pediatric Association’s official representative to the World Health Summit Regional Meeting 2026.
She serves as Child Development Sub-Coordinator for the International Pediatric Association’s Early Childhood Development, Child Disabilities and Primary Care Program Area, and chairs the Eastern Africa Academy of Childhood Disability. Dr. Wamithi is also ECD Project Director and technical advisor to the Kenya Paediatric Association and serves on the Governing Council of the International Alliance of Academies of Childhood Disability.
Her global health contributions include membership in the World Rehabilitation Alliance’s primary care work stream and the World Health Organization’s peer review group for the Package of Interventions for Rehabilitation for Neurodevelopmental Disorders module. She contributed to the Global Child Health section of the Nelson Textbook of Pediatrics, 22nd edition
