Malachi Arunda is a postdoctoral researcher at the e department of Global Public Health (GPH), Karolinska Institute. Currently he works as a researcher, project coordinator, and a course leader of two courses, Applied Epidemiology 1 (master’s programme) and Data Management in Survey Design (doctoral level) at the GPH department. Previous he worked with Lund University, World Health Organization, Swedish Red Cross and youth education and health in Uganda, among others. His doctoral project completed at Lund University in 2021 utilized nationally representative data to examine determinants of maternal and newborn health, and effectiveness of care in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Malachi also holds BSc in Biology and a MSc in Public Health degree from Lund University and has expertise in sexual and reproductive health and rights, mental health and emergency care training.
