Toyin Togun is a Professor of Global Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, London, United Kingdom, and a Senior Scientist within the Vaccines & Immunity Theme at the Medical Research Council (MRC) Unit The Gambia. He is the Co-Director of the LSHTM Tuberculosis (TB) Centre, and he is also elected to Fellowship of the UK Faculty of Public Health.

Professor Togun’s research interest is in bridging the translational gap in TB diagnostics through the pragmatic application of new tools and strategies, including multi-modal Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems, toward improving the diagnosis and management of TB in high burden settings. He is the Work Programme Leader for TB within the EDCTP-funded West African Networks of Excellence for TB, AIDS and Malaria (WANETAM) and contributes his expertise to high-level international bodies, including the WHO Child and Adolescent TB Working Group and the Africa Research Excellence Fund (AREF).
