Dr Rudolf Abugnaba Abanga (PhD) is a climate change and health systems expert specialising in climate-resilient and environmentally sustainable health systems in low-resource settings, with a strong focus on Primary Healthcare. He brings two decades of experience in transdisciplinary research and collaboration, health systems strengthening, and citizen participation in health governance. Dr Abugnaba Abanga is a Research Fellow in Planetary Health at the West African Centre for Sustainable Rural Transformation (WAC-SRT), University of Business and Integrated Studies, Ghana, and at the Global Health Cluster, University Medical Centre Utrecht, The Netherlands. He serves in leadership roles across global networks advancing climate and health policy. Dr Abugnaba-Abanga is the co-chair of the Health Systems Global Climate Resilient and Sustainable Health Systems Working Group. His recent work spans research, policy formulation, translation, and engagement with policymakers, academia, multilateral agencies, and communities to advance Planetary Health.
