Faith Muigai’s professional background stems over 20 years of global health experience in both public and private sectors. She currently serves as National Program Coordinator for the Africa Medical Equipment Facility with the International Finance Corporation-a subsidiary of the World Bank.  She also serves as program lead for Inteleos’ Maternal Health Initiative-Sub Saharan Africa’s Grand Challenge. Previous roles include Executive Director for Kenya Women and Children’s Wellness Centre. She has served as Regional Director for the SafeCare Program with PharmAccess Foundation; an international recognition program amplifying quality and excellence in health service delivery. She served as Chief Medical Officer for Jacaranda Health, a scaling organization, whose mission is to provide high quality, affordable Maternal and Child Health services in Kenya. Her leadership contributed to achieving SafeCare Level 5-the first health facility in East Africa to attain this level of certification. She led the initiative to advance SafeCare into an international accreditation program and to be recognized as a conformity assessment body under the Kenya National accreditation service. Previous roles have included frontline health service delivery, clinical research, program development and executive management in leading health institutions (Johns Hopkins Hospital and University Specialty Hospital, an affiliate of the University of Maryland Medical Systems and LifeBridge Health). Faith has designed and implemented local and regional healthcare projects, participated in local and national health collaboratives that positively impact healthcare services.

Ms. Muigai has served two terms as an elected Board Director for the Kenya Healthcare Federation and country member with the Global Funds’ Kenya Coordinating Mechanism.   She has served on the African Union’s Private Sector Technical working group, nominated Board Member for Nairobi County’s Pumwani Hospital and Kenya Nursing Council’s Discipline, Standards and Ethics committee. She serves as an East African Acumen Fellow. She represented private sector on the national response team for COVID 19 and served on the Kenya Ministry of Health Technical working group for Health Regulations, Quality and Safety, OPOCUS, and COVID 19 Human resource for health committee.  In 2019, Ms. Muigai was recognized as an Innovator and Woman in Leadership by the International Finance Corporation (IFC)-a subsidiary of the World Bank.
